Dan Todd
Dan Todd is the Founder of Todd Strategy Group. At TSG, he leads the firm’s work on Medicare policy, life sciences issues, physician payment reform, and broader federal health care strategy.
Prior to founding TSG, Dan served as Senior Healthcare Counsel for the Republican staff of the Senate Finance Committee, where his portfolio included the Medicare Part B program and the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit (Part D). He played a central role in developing physician payment reforms included in the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) and reforms to the clinical laboratory fee schedule under the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (PAMA).
Earlier in his career, Dan worked in the biotechnology industry, leading policy development and government affairs strategy. He also served as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Administrator at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), where he worked on Medicare Part B and Part D issues during implementation of the Medicare Modernization Act from 2003–2005.
Dan received his B.A. from Georgetown University and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America.
